Well here we go again, another album that bridges several genres’.  “genre’: UNKNOWN” is an eclectic mix of music, recorded over several years, and assembled on this 10 song release.

It includes some of our “classic style”, melodic progressive rock (both old and new), along with some unplugged (live mix) classic tracks from our roots.  And it finishes with a little jazzy jam, done in the old “vinyl record” style, complete with pops and skips.

This one’s no concept album folks, but yet still very “Mimes On Rollercoasters”, without a doubt.

Enjoy!

Lyrics

A Lover Or A Friend

When I'm alone, I know just what to say, but when I'm with you I don't know my way.
I call it silly, you call it taste.  You call me shy when I know I'm afraid.

Oh no. Here it goes again. Cornered by a woman I don't know.
So many times, I've asked before, is she a lover or a friend?

I look in the mirror, my face it don't look right. My ears are too big and my skin is too light.
I call it silly, you call it taste.  You call me shy when I know I'm afraid.

Oh no. Here it goes again. Cornered by a woman I don't know.
So many times, I've asked before, is she a lover or a friend?

Oh no. Here it goes again. Cornered by a woman I don't know.
So many times, I've asked before, is she a lover or a friend?

You call me on the phone, and say nice things to me.  You wait for a reply that never comes.
I call it silly, you call it taste.  You call me shy when I know I'm afraid.

Oh no. Here it goes again. Cornered by a woman I don't know.
So many times, I've asked before, is she a lover or a friend?

Drifting Away

Hello can you hear me, calling out your name?
Hello are you near me, I need to see your face.
You strung me along, like a tugboat to the barge.
When I dropped the anchor, you unfurled the sails and sailed away.

Giving in to the tide, Riding the waves, Drifting away

Hello won’t you answer?  I dialed your number twice.
Ignoring advances, you’re all I’ve got in life.
I offered you treasures, threw caution to the wind.
You stole my heart and soul; then cast me away out on my own!

Giving in to the tide, Riding the waves, Drifting away
Giving in to the tide, Riding the waves, Drifting away
Giving in to the tide, Riding the waves, Drifting away
Giving in to the tide, Riding the waves, Drifting away

Rainbows And Sunsets

Often I wonder where all this is leading?
Self-serving people, the hateful, the greedy!
Why must mankind harbor hatred and vengeance?
Instead let’s have tolerance, loving and patience.

Show the love!  We’re all the same.  Who’s to blame?

Rainbows and sunsets, bare toes in white sand.
The ocean breeze blowing, warm wind, tangled hair.

Living a life glued to PC’s and smartphones
Empowering bullies who prey on emotions
For those who are gullible or just good-hearted
It’s time we return to the place that we started!

Show the love!  We’re all the same.  Who’s to blame?

Rainbows and sunsets, bare toes in white sand.
The ocean breeze blowing, warm wind tangled hair.
Rainbows and sunsets, bare toes in white sand.
The ocean breeze blowing, warm wind tangled hair.
Rainbows and sunsets, bare toes in white sand.
The ocean breeze blowing, warm wind tangled hair.
Rainbows and sunsets, bare toes in white sand.
The ocean breeze blowing, warm wind tangled hair.

Old Relations

Well it really make you feel, so empty, to be with people, that you once knew.
The ages turned the years, to decades, don't you know, that I missed you.
We played as children, never knowing, how years apart, slip by so fast.
Different lives, brought us different pleasures. It's tough in knowing, that we can't go back.

Old relations.  Old relations. Old relations.  Echoes of the past.
Old relations.  Old relations. Old relations.  Friends that didn't last.

We played like there was no tomorrow.
Living in the day, that's what was real.
Planning how we'd make the big time,
In our hearts we knew, it was all for fun.
Then we grew apart, and went our own ways,
raised a family.  Forged a career.
Different lives, spent on different pleasures.
It's tough in knowing, that we can't go back.

Well it really make you feel, so empty,
to be with people, that you once knew.
Could it be that I have jealous feelings,
or just sad, those days are gone.
I continue searching for the reasons,
My deepest feelings, still haven't found.
And late at night I lie there thinking,
Of time we spend, with old relations.

Old relations.  Old relations. Old relations.  Echoes of the past.
Old relations.  Old relations. Old relations.  Friends that didn't last.
Old relations.  Old relations. Old relations.  Echoes of the past.
Old relations.  Old relations. Old relations.  Friends that didn't last.
Old relations.  Old relations. Old relations.  Echoes of the past.

The Time We Knew

I didn't know what time it was, and I didn't really care.
Seasons pass, time is lost; feelings are still there.
We sit and we watch as the days go by,  no one seems to care.
Older and older we never stop aging, days we chose to share.

I never imagined that we would still be here at such an advanced age.
Gray haired and wrinkled and sagging in places; life in its final stage.
Sitting and watching out the front window, it hurts to leave the chair.
How did we get here, when did it happen? We didn't seem to care.

One day they'll take us out of this place and bury us both somewhere.
I wonder if anyone will ever visit or our monument in the sea air.
Announcements are made and plans are laid, the cycle starts again.
A commitment for life, he makes her his wife, loyal till the end.

Hold Me

Hi. Hello. How are you?
I'm well, thank you for asking.
I missed you. Yes, so have I.
It's been such a very, very long time.

The days were long, the nights were cold, I dreamt of your arms around me.
The simple life is empty now, Baby come here won't you hold me?

So. I know. I want to say...
It's okay I know what you're thinking.
Let's start again. Mimi: Forget the past.
Pretend that it never happened.

The days were long, the nights were cold, I dreamt of your arms around me.
The simple life is empty now, Baby come here won't you hold me?

The days were long, the nights were cold, I dreamt of your arms around me.
The simple life is empty now, Baby come here won't you hold me?

The days were long, the nights were cold, I dreamt of your arms around me.
The simple life is empty now, Baby come here won't you hold me?

The days were long, the nights were cold, I dreamt of your arms around me.
The simple life is empty now, Baby come here won't you hold me?

Elly May's Private Zoo

Little Elly May had her private zoo.

Blue jeans so tight, she ain’t wearing no shoes.

Little Elly May had her private zoo.

She fed all the critters from everywhere.

Little Elly May had her private zoo.

With a mouse in her pocket and another one too,

Elly was a "little-boy" fantasy...

Let's Have Peace On Earth Tonight

They travelled by night, and followed the stars, coming from far-away lands.
Bringing their gifts bestowed unto him.  A child lies sleeping in the hay.

Let there be peace on this Earth tonight.
Let all our children find love in our time.

Days turned to years.  He became a fine man; someone that many looked up to.
They came from afar to meet the man; who suffered for all of mankind.

Let there be peace on this Earth tonight.
Let all our children find love in our time.

Many have died defending his name.  Men killing men; who’s to blame?
So for this day, let’s all unite.  Let’s have peace on Earth tonight.

Let there be peace on this Earth tonight.
Let all our children find love in our time.
Let there be peace on this Earth tonight.
Let all our children find love in our time.

The Brighter Side

Once in awhile the world is unfair
Kind to the cruelest and cruel to the people who really care
While the poor get poorer and the lucky get luckier
Life spins around like one big circle game

Spinning, spinning, life just circles around
Sometimes winning - we've all felt a little bit down
Spinning, spinning, life just circles around
Sometimes winning - we've all felt a little bit down

When all is against you and nothing will go right
Always keep looking toward that brightly lit brighter side
Spinning, spinning, life just circles around
Sometimes winning - we've all felt a little bit down
