Recently, I was pondering my younger days; when I still thought that life had no limits. When I felt like I could be or do, anything at all. Of course I was young and naive then, but oh what a wonderful outlook I had! No constraints. No preconceived obstacles. Only positive vibes and a future just waiting for ME. Believe it or not folks that was almost fifty some years ago now.
Back then my bandmates and me collaborated on and composed many songs which reflected exactly that mindset. And coincidentally enough, while going through a box of very old cassette tapes from the 1970s, I came across one of those songs that a fantastic keyboard player named Kyle and me collaborated on and recorded in his basement studio. It was a VERY rough version, but a great song none the less. So as a nostalgic tribute to Kyle I decided to recorded a brand new arrangement which is based on our late 1970s original collaboration. I'm pretty sure that I've captured the true essence of the original. But ultimately, only Kyle can confirm this.
I miss my former bandmates. Time has passed, but the good memories last forever. So I'm Reaching Out (To Kyle) to say thank you.

Reaching Out (To Kyle)
It’s all out there, waiting to be what I choose. This is nowhere, stayin’ is livin’ the blues
Finding good reasons, to hope for a better day. I find it real pleasin', to say what I have to say
And hope for a better way, In our search for tomorrow, I’m reaching out
Life makes her dare, hoping you’ll answer the call. Love takes his share, knowing he helps make it all
Searching for answers, to problems we face all the time. Finding new cancers, speeding towards chaos and moral decline
These answers we can’t define. To avoid the sorrow, I’m reaching out
When the world shares, we will have reached our plateau. When the world cares, we’ll understand all to know
Probing the future, finding what you could be. With knowledge the suture, binding the galaxies - ending our misery
In our search for tomorrow, start reaching out
To hope for a better day, to say what I have to say. Stayin’ is livin’ the blues
Finding good reasons, to hope for a better day. I find it real pleasin', to say what I have to say
And hope for a better way. In our search for tomorrow, I’m reaching out
